Sub: Global memory and C++/MacApp
C++ and/or MacApp Trailblazers:
I need to know how C++ classes impact global usage and jump tables. I believe
each have serious limitations (does 32K sound familiar?) How much space does a
minimal class contain (a subclass of a class which adds nothing)? How do
virtual functions, and static member functions impact this?
Also, with and without using every clever MacApp tweak both documented and
undocumented, how much of this space is it using up?
Any bits of lore or more authoritative info is appreciated. Any meaningful
contrasts with Think's Object C is also welcome. Any experience with anything
mentioned, I'm interested in hearing about (please site release versions), post
either here or send to my AppleLink, as is appropriate.
